Gunderson and Nickerson selected to USA National Team.....
 
    BBNW alums and Oregon State pitchers Kevin Gunderson and Jonah Nickerson have been selected to the USA Baseball National Collegiate team.  The team consists of the top collegiate baseball players from around the country.  The teams perform each summer across America and overseas, versus the world's top baseball talent.  The 2005 schedule includes a five game series in Japan vs. the Japanese Collegiate All-Stars.  Gunderson from Central Catholic HS (OR) was an Oregon Prospect Game partificpate and Nickerson from Oregon City HS (OR) was an Oregon Fall Scout team member.

 

NICKERSON and GUNDERSON invited to USA Trials . . .

BBNW alumni Jonah Nickerson and Kevin Gunderson, both of Oregon State, are participating in the USA Collegiate National Team Trials at the USA Baseball Training Center in North Carolina.

BBNW alumni Dallas Buck, also of Oregon State has declined an invitation and is pitching in the Cape Cod summer collegiate league. 

Gunderson, the sophomore left-handed bullpen ace of the Beavers, is from Central Catholic HS in Portland, and Nickerson, the Beavers Sunday right-handed sophomore starting pitcher this season, is from Oregon City HS in Oregon City. Gunderson was in the 2003 Oregon Prospect Games, and Nickerson pitched on the 2003 Oregon Fall Scout Team.  

Colin Curtis sophomore outfielder from Issaquah HS (WA) and Arizona State Univ. is also on the roster.
