Deal, Ogata named Collegiate Baseball newspaper All-Americans . . . . .
 
BBNW Alumni, Scott Deal, of Curtis HS (WA) and Jason Ogata, of Westview HS (OR) have been named to Collegiate Baseball newspaper high school All-American team.  Scott was 5-00 with a 6-0 era, four complete games, 50 strikeouts, and 12 walks in 35 innings.  Jason hit .500 with 34 rbi.  Deal pitched in the 2004 Northwest Championships and recently signed professional with the Oakland A's, and Ogata played in the 2003 and 2004 Northwest Championship Tournament and is going to attend Louisiana State Univ.

McNaughton named to Freshman All-American . . . . .
 
BBNW alumnus, Sean McNaughton from Curtis HS (WA) and Brigham Young University was named to Collegiate Baseball Newspaper to its Freshman All-American team.  Sean played second base this year and hit .346 with 10 homeruns and 37 rbi. Sean was a member of the 2004 West Washington Prospect Games and Northwest Championship Tournament.

Barney and Hague chosen freshmen All-Americans ......
 
BBNW Alumni, Darwin Barney from Oregon State and Matt Hague from Univ. of Washington were named to Baseball America's second team Freshman All-American Team.  Darwin hit .301 and played solid SS for the Beavers College World Series appearance while Matt Hague emerged from the Huskies bullpen to start the year to their top offensive force in hitting .419 and 8 HR's.

Barney was a 2003 and 2004 and Hague a 2004 Northwest Championship Tournament participate.

BBNW ALUM SELECTED TO USA BASEBALL NATIONAL TEAM TRIALS
 
Dallas Buck of Oregon State has been selected to the 2005 USA Baseball National Team Trials. Dallas is from Newberg HS in Newberg, Or. and played on BBNW's Oregon teams in the Oregon Prospect Games and Pacific Northwest Championships.  The junior right-handed pitcher has lead Oregon State to this year's College World Series. The USA Team is a collection of the top collegiate players that were not eligible for this year's major league draft.
